Since joining the @properties team in 2004, Tawnya McVicker has quickly distinguished herself both within the industry and with her clients. An Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), Tawnya received @properties’ Rookie of the Year award in 2004 for exceeding $5 million in sales volume. Since then she has grown her experience to include the successful sale of all types of properties from condos to single-family homes. She also has developed a vast working knowledge of the entire Chicagoland market by representing clients from the South Side to the North Shore suburbs, and all neighborhoods in between.

“Investing in or divesting property is a major milestone in a person’s life,” she says. “It’s my No. 1 objective to provide professional client service, insightful information and savvy negotiation at the right time so that my clients can experience Chicago as I’ve experienced it: as a great place to live and as a great investment.”

Tawnya currently lives with her husband in Bronzeville on the South Side, a neighborhood she feels is one of Chicago’s up-and-coming gems.

“But it won’t be a secret for long,” she says. “With our easy access to the lakefront, the expressway, skyline views and front-row seats for the Cellular Field fireworks, we’re finding that we have more and more residential and retail neighbors every day.”

Carly Steinecker

Since moving back to Chicago from Boston several years ago, Carly Steinecker has been determined to find a way to meld her love of working with people, her passion for architecture, and her innate sales ability. Her dream came to fruition when she joined @properties in early 2006. Having worked in various avenues of sales, marketing, and customer service all of her life, Carly knows first hand about listening to a client’s needs and wants and exceeding their expectations. Although Carly works with clients throughout the city, her primary interest lies in historic areas seeking rebirth.

“Growing up, my dad and I would always watch This Old House. I have been fascinated by old homes and architecture ever since. I love the idea of taking an old building and breathing new life in to it, whether through preservation or finding a new use for the structure. Working with Tawnya McVicker has allowed me to be a part of the revitalization of our great city’s history and bringing new life to historic Bronzeville.”

Carly grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a BBA in Marketing. She has lived in Chicago for many years and currently resides in Bucktown. In her spare time Carly enjoys exploring Chicago, reading, playing and watching sports, and spending time with friends and family.
